Miss Bud and Pride or Pay-N-Pack. WWII aircraft engines pumped up with nitros. Good race too.

There was more excitement packed into those 7 minutes than 7 races combined in today’s F1 .

I watched that race live from the roof of my aunts porch as a kid. I remember two things from that day, she had a huge bowl of Fritos and the Pak’s last lap pass. I was an Atlas Van lines boy, but I sure didn’t mind the Pak taking it to the Bud either.

That’s awesome! I grew up in Maple Valley and we would go down on the Friday and watch the hydros and the Angels. I didn’t see ‘ 74 as I wasn’t quite born yet, but saw lots of good races.
Pak, Atlas Van Lines and Miss Bud were always strong contenders. I also loved Miss Rock at the end when they were the last piston boat.
